Dermatologist Tim Ioannides Provides Patient-Centered Medical Dermatology

Dermatologist Tim Ioannides founded Treasure Coast Dermatology to provide patient-centered medical dermatology. While he began with a single office, today his practice has five locations. Recently, Dr. Ioannides provided his thoughts on patient care and business.

“TIM IOANNIDES, Dermatologist in Port St. Lucie, Florida”, an article on aboutme.com, talks about his credibility, successes and his role in educating future dermatologists in dermatologic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

At the beginning of his career, Dr. Ioannides worked for a doctor who focused on cosmetic dermatology. Early on, Dr. Tim Ioannides realized medical dermatology, rather than cosmetic dermatology, was his life’s calling. He decided to open Treasure Coast Dermatology to focus on medical dermatology. In his medical practice, Dr. Ioannides deals with all aspects of skincare, including the treatment of skin cancer, eczema, acne, and rosacea.

Dr. Ioannides has also made patient-centered care the hallmark of Treasure Coast Dermatology. As part of that commitment, he sees each patient personally. In addition, all patient visits are “screen-free” because Dr. Ioannides believes not using computers during patient appointments results in better treatment. According to Dr. Ioannides, physicians who use computers during patient visits pay more attention to the screen than the patient, which removes the human element from patient care.

When asked about his mistakes as an entrepreneur, Dr. Ioannides said he took too long to dismiss employees who were excellent individual performers but were not good team players. Click Here to learn more.
